Hi Michael! Tell us more about CCIC New York.
We offer clothing, accessories, handbags, and jewelry for men and women who love modest fashion but also want styles that are wearable yet unique. We are husband and wife team who design, manufacture, and distribute directly to bring you the highest quality garments in the most efficient way possible. We also partner with high standard brands in South Korea and source from them as well.
What inspired you to start your business?
My wife and I have more than 15 years of experience in fashion design, product development, sourcing, supply chain and logistics. We felt like consumers were drowning in a sea of boring clothes and we kept seeing the same mass-produced styles, at sky-high prices. We craved something different, something unique, and wanted to bring designer quality modest style clothings at fast fashion price point. That’s where the spark for CCIC New York ignited. We wanted to create a place where women could express their individuality through beautiful, high-quality clothes without breaking the bank.
How is your business different from the rest? And why is it so important?
What sets us apart from other brands is our commitment to affordability without compromising on quality or design. We believe that everyone should have access to stylish and well-crafted clothing without emptying their wallets. How do we achieve this? By cutting out all middlemen within our supply chain. We design, choose the materials, manufacture, and ship directly the end consumer. This allows us to deliver high quality products, at incredible value, directly to you. Also, we usually bring one garment per size, in each color–plus we release new products every Friday in small quantities.
What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced?
It’s about more than just finding beautiful clothes; it’s about finding the right clothes for the right women at the right time. We also have to show our customers that “affordable” doesn’t mean “cheap.” Think of it like discovering a hidden gem – a designer dress at a fraction of the price. Sometimes, though, we have to make tough choices. We might find a piece that’s beautiful but just doesn’t fit with our overall vision and quality levels. In those cases, we donate those items to people who need them. It’s a win-win! We get to clear out our inventory, and someone else gets to enjoy a beautiful piece of clothing.
Of course, donating clothes does come at a big cost. But we believe it’s the right thing to do. After all, fashion should be about making people feel good, both inside and out. And that’s what CCIC New York is all about.
What are you looking forward to for the future of your business?
We want to bring our unique style to women all over New York and New Jersey first. We want to bring our store in American Dream, Westfield, and much more, the possibilities are endless! We hope to open a second location a closer or in the bustling heart of New York City. We are excited that our first location is at Palisades Center, right here in Rockland County!
